And they're all busy little kitties, aren't they?
As we walk down the hall, busy kitties pass us hither and yon, intent on their
important tasks. They've become part of our indoor environment -- we make allowances for
them, cohabitate with them, and only tend to interact with each other when they need
attention - my dish is empty, my box is full, you're sitting in my chair,
I need your lap for a few minutes, and the ever popular "What's that you're
eating? Can I have some?"
I wouldn't miss it for the world. This, after half a lifetime of being a
cat hater (I didn't know any better -- I was raised that way, and I got over it as soon as
possible). First one, and now mumble - mumble-mumble
cats
later, they're still terribly fascinating.
Our first interest is cats, and we invite you to explore this site and
meet some of the fuzzy little creatures that share our home -- pedigreed, unpedigreed, and
all much loved -- and read the stories about how they got here. Our second interest is in
showing cats -- once we went to our first cat show, we were hooked, and we'll try to share
some of that experience with you here too. Finally, we've fallen in love with a breed of
pedigreed cats -- Devon Rex, and are working towards a very small breeding program to
produce show cats of distinction -- please feel free to wander through our Devon section
to learn more about this unique breed of cats. On relatively rare occasions, we will have
a few very wonderful, spoiled rotten pet kittens of each breed available to very select
homes, and information about that is available here too.
Other things you'll find as you explore our virtual cattery include
information on how to get cats, some tips here and there on cat care and management, and
links to some of the wealth of information available on the net.
Welcome to Busy
Kitty.
Busy Kitty is a CFA (Cat
Fancier's Association) and TICA (The International Cat
Association) registered cattery.
Welcome to Busy Kitty, or at least it's web site
incarnation. Warning -- this is a large, self-indulgent place for us to share
pictures of our busy little kitties, tell the story of how all of this came to be
("my name is Chuck, and I'm a cat-addict" "(everyone) Hi Chuck!"), and
share a few interesting links along the way.
This area is very graphics intensive, and tends to be mainly aimed at the
high-end web browsers, fast connections, and high resolution displays. Not to be elitist,
but in other words, this is home, where I do things for my own pleasure, and don't spend a
lot of time worrying about the way things work everywhere, as I have to on other sites.
Welcome to our home, our hobby, and our cattery. We hope you enjoy it. If not, thanks for
stopping by.
