Welcome To Busykitty
And they're all busy little kitties, aren't they? As we walk down the hall, busy kitties pass us hither and yon, intent on their important tasks. They've become part of our indoor environment -- we make allowances for them, cohabitate with them, and only tend to interact with each other when they need attention - my dish is empty, my box is full, you're sitting in my chair, I need your lap for a few minutes, and the ever popular "What's that you're eating? Can I have some?"
I wouldn't miss it for the world. This, after half a lifetime of being a cat hater (I didn't know any better -- I was raised that way, and I got over it as soon as possible). First one, and now mumble - mumble-mumble cats later, they're still terribly fascinating.
Our first interest is cats, and we invite you to explore this site and meet some of the fuzzy little creatures that share our home -- pedigreed, unpedigreed, and all much loved -- and read the stories about how they got here. Our second interest is in showing cats -- once we went to our first cat show, we were hooked, and we'll try to share some of that experience with you here too. Finally, we've fallen in love with a breed of pedigreed cats -- Devon Rex, and are working towards a very small breeding program to produce show cats of distinction -- please feel free to wander through our Devon section to learn more about this unique breed of cats. On relatively rare occasions, we will have a few very wonderful, spoiled rotten pet kittens of each breed available to very select homes, and information about that is available here too.
Other things you'll find as you explore our virtual cattery include information on how to get cats, some tips here and there on cat care and management, and links to some of the wealth of information available on the net.
Welcome to BusyKitty Other things you'll find as you explore our virtual cattery include information on how to get cats, some tips here and there on cat care and management, and links to some of the wealth of information available on the net. ---------------- Well, that's how this site started out, four years ago when I first wrote that... Things have changed just a skosh in my life, but my love of cats remains unabated -- please enjoy the site, and thank you for letting me share with you. |

Dave is Busykitty Dave, a Gold-Eyed White Devon Rex Hybrid boy born 2/24/2000. Dave's maternal grandfather was the world's goofiest American Shorthair boy, but the rest were all Devons. Dave has Devon personality to spare (if they make a Devon with more personality I don't want to meet it), but a plush white normal coat instead of the Devon coat.

Maggie is Busykitty Maggie, a Cream Tabby and White F2 Devon Rex Hybrid born 2/27/99 -- this means that one of her grandparents was a British Shorthair while the others were all Devons; unfortunately, Maggie drew the short straw and got the normal coat instead of the Devon coat, but other than that, she's Devon through-and-through.

Lisa is Busykitty Lisa, born 2/27/99. She is a Brown Patched Tabby & White F2 Devon Hybrid -- her grandfather was a British Shorthair, but she's Devons all the way down from there. She has the Devon personality (in spades), with a normal cat coat instead of the Devon coat.

Cascade is Shedere Krystal Cascade of Busykitty, born 8/22/95. She is an F1 Hybrid, her mom was a Devon and her daddy a British Shothair. She has the Devon personality, just not the curly coat. Cascade is a very pretty brown patched mac tabby van girl (this means she's mostly white, with striking spots of brown and red tabby). Pictures soon.
